Prof. Gaétan de Rassenfosse holds the chair of Science, Technology, and Innovation Policy at the College of Management of Technology, Ecole polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne, Switzerland.
The overarching objective of Gaétan’s research is to provide the policy environment that best addresses the needs of the knowledge economy. This objective is met by providing sound empirical evidence on research questions related, e.g., to the patent system, markets for technology, and innovation policy.
His work appeared in international peer-reviewed scientific journals such as Strategic Entrepreneurship Journal, Research Policy, Journal of the Association for Information Science and Technology, and Oxford Bulletin of Economics and Statistics.
Gaétan’s research is financed by the U.S. NSF, the Swiss NSF, the Swiss Network for International Studies, among other sources.
